SHIFT Workouts

Bands, bells, gravity, and your body-those are the tools. Intentioned coaching, laughs, and friends-that is the environment. Combine the two together, and you have a workout that affects more than the body; you have holistic training. Whether you are someone who hasn’t picked up a weight in years, or a strength-training buff, these workouts are for you.

The Tools

Your body is the primary tool, but here are some of the other pieces of equipment that might be present:

  • Kettlebells (listed first because they’re the favorite),

  • Bands,

  • Sleds,

  • Medicine Balls,

  • and the (occasional) Assault Bike or Rowing Machine

Will be methodically incorporated into your 60 minute training session. The session will combine various elements of fitness including cardio, strength, endurance, and flexibility.

The Environment

Community is EVERYTHING in fitness. How do you make a difficult habit like exercise easier?

  1. You have a group of buddies that you look forward to seeing each week.

  2. You have compassionate coaching that is devoted to listening.

  3. You have a place that feels safe and accepting no matter what your background or level of fitness.

This training environment is designed to welcome ALL. Beginners -> Advanced, you will find the workout is catered to meet you where you’re at.

The PROGRAMMING

The strength training you will experience is NOT a random collection of total body exercises. SHIFT performance programs training for 6-8 week sessions. There is always a focus to WHY we are training, and a goal that we are training towards.

New goals don't deliver new results, new lifestyles do, and a lifestyle is a process, not an outcome. For this reason, SHIFT aims to re-create a workout mindset where your energy moves towards building better habits, not chasing better results.

The Workout Menu

Group Training (Limit 10 per class) or private Training

So what can you expect in your session at SHIFT?

  • An hour of pre-programmed workouts that give you the perfect balance of work and recovery. Pushing you to your limits, but never straining you beyond them. These group classes follow a 6-8 week periodized strength training protocol (meaning the sessions build off of each other) that also includes the occasional burst of cardio and endurance. Expect your entire body to be worked by the end of class.

  • A coach who pays attention to detail, inspires, is form-conscious, and TEACHES while she leads

  • A community that intentionally welcomes ALL. An environment of purposeful inclusion, an environment where all can feel safe, valued, cared for, and given an opportunity to form meaningful connections with each other. We cherish the diversity of humanity, a diversity which includes differences in sex, age, race, ethnicity, and national origin, range of abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial means, education, and political perspective.

  • An ending that feels breathless, but sustainable. Along with minimum 10 smiles (and 1 laughing episode).
